Vase, Oval and Triangle

2018

In the MMK Museum of Modern Art by Hans Hollein, the building loosely has a triangular shape, as if someone materialized the visual cone of perspective. This perspectival point became the main attribute that has been adapted by different parts of the building, the point to which things either converge or around which they are arranged. This focal characteristic appears as the explicit quality of circular, oval, and triangular shapes in the MMK building. Here, we can see that geometry is a dominant force in transforming other entities and combining them. In this project, we are exploring how readymade objects, silhouettes of its context, geometrical figures, and the elements of architecture influence each other.
